How can the fax header be changed?

Question: How can I change the layout of my fax header for outgoing faxes?

Answer: The header consists of several components. Here is the structure:

To (1):
At this point you can set whether a station ID or an MSN is transmitted.

Entering a station ID:
User administration > Location or configuration group > Settings > Fax > sub-item Station ID. If "Fax number" has been configured there, the number in the user's "Fax" sub-area is signaled. If "Master data" has been selected, the phone number from the user field "Fax company" is signaled. Alternatively, a freely entered number can be used via "Other".

Entering an MSN:
User administration > Location or configuration group > Settings > Fax > Sub-item Signalling

To (2):
Several formats can be defined for the middle part of the fax header. The parameter "Mail2Fax\ShortFaxHeadline" is used for this. This can be found in the XPhone Connect administration interface under UM> Fax > General > Advanced settings.
Three values can be set:

0 - Long format: Headline + CSID + date/time + page number
1 - Only headline from the configuration, without CSID, date, time, page number etc.
2 - Headline from configuration + page number, no CSID, date, time etc.

Notes:

• The value 0 is only suitable for short company names. If the company name is longer, the number and date are partially truncated.
• The icons are added by the XCAPI and cannot be removed.
