Why do I get the message “Administrator approval required” for XPhone calendar synchronization? (O365 / Graph)

Question:

Why do I get the Microsoft message “Administrator approval required” for XPhone calendar synchronization?

In the cases that have been reported so far, the message often appears for newly created users when working with graph calendar synchronization.

 

Solution:

The Microsoft window is triggered by the MS infrastructure (Azure AD) because Entra has not yet granted the necessary rights for these users.
The problem can be solved by granting the permission in the API permissions for calendar synchronization.

Important: Always discuss changes in Azure with your Azure administrator first.

New users should automatically receive this permission when working with the “delegated” permission type.
