Behavior and cause:
If you receive the following error message when installing the XPhone Connect Client:
The cause is usually that registry entries from an older XPhone version or a previous, failed installation are still present. This can also occur if a mix of software distribution and manual installation has been carried out.
A note at this point: If clients are installed via software distribution, they must also be uninstalled via software distribution. The same applies to manual installation and uninstallation.
Solution:
The registry entries below must be deleted. Admin rights are required for this. So that this doesn't have to be done manually, we offer an executable file for removing all keys:
