Problem:
In XPhone Connect Client, the softphone is selected as the active device. If an attempt is now made to make a call, an "audio device error" appears. How can this be fixed?
Solution 1:
Open Windows Services and restart the Windows Audio service.
Solution 2:
Open the Control Panel and open theSoundSettings. Open thepropertiesof your device and uncheckApplications in exclusive modehave priorityand clickRestore Defaults. Then restart the XPhone Connect Client.
Solution 3
Make sure that the microphone is enabled in the Windows "Microphone - Privacy Settings" and that the XPhone Connect Client is listed with the desktop apps.
Hint:
If the above steps do not help, you should also check whether an antivirus program is denying access to the microphone.
