The XPhone Client offers the option of starting an echo call for Softphone Desktop or Softphone Mobile, which can be used to test the upstream if there is a delay in voice communication.
The purpose of this is to rule out whether the user's Internet connection (upstream) is affected.
Procedure:
- Make sure that either Softphone Mobile or Softphone Desktop is selected
- Dial #95 in the search field or via the dial keypad
- Now start a test call (it can take up to 20 seconds for this call to be accepted)
- Now speak into your microphone and wait for the echo
- Based on the delay until the echo comes back, you can determine how long the delay is on the client itself
To compare the delay of your connection with a good case, you can use the following wave file as a reference:
