When dialing from Microsoft Outlook via the TAPI dialing function included in Outlook, no outside line access (usually zero) is dialed. What else has to be set?
The XPhone UC TAPI behaves like any other TAPI driver. All installed TAPI service providers use the settings in SYSTEM CONTROL -> TELEPHONE AND MODEM.
Open with administration rights CONTROL PANEL -> TELEPHONE AND MODEM. Define the outside line access code used for the created location in the "Outside line access code for local calls" and "Outside line access code for long-distance calls" fields, e.g. 0.
If still no outside line access code is dialed before the phone number, check the format of the phone number in the Outlook contact. To do this, click on the button in front of the phone number, e.g. "Business...". Make sure that the area code, local area code and, if applicable, extension number are in the fields provided.
Note that these settings are only relevant for dialing via the TAPI based dialing function from Outlook. These settings are not relevant for the CTI Outlook integration of the XPhone Client. The dialing parameters of the XPhone Server apply here.
