If you open a new voicemail in Microsoft Outlook, HCL Notes or in the XPhone Client, you can listen to it either via the loudspeaker or via the terminal. When listening via the telephone, the subscriber is called back at the specified extension and the voicemail is played. However, if the user has still forwarded to voicemail, the callback cannot be made because the call is forwarded to voicemail again. The user will now receive a new voicemail from this call attempt by the VoicemailPlayer service.
To enable the VoicemailPlayer service to break the redirection, open the SETTINGS -> UM -> VOICEMAIL -> GENERAL area on the XPhone Server in the administration interface. In the ADVANCED SETTINGS set the central voicemail number for the (possibly already existing) parameter VMPClip. First accept the setting for VMPClip and then save the VOICEMAIL -> GENERAL page. Now restart the marked services.
Note: The behavior with break-through cannot be guaranteed for all PBXs. If only the voicemail prefix is used, the VoicemailPlayer cannot break through the redirection of the subscriber, in this case enter any unused phone number of the prefix range. This prevents the VoicemailPlayer from redirecting to the voicemail.
