In which format do the phone numbers need to have been entered into the source (Active Directory or text file), so that they can be created as lines in the XPhone server and automatically be assigned to the users?
In general, the Dialling Parameters as well as the Telephony Gateway need to be configured before running a connector in order to create and assign lines. If there is only one dialling parameter configured, phone numbers in the source for the Connector (e.g. Active Directory) could have been entered fully or with only their respective extension numbers (without area code and main phone number).
If there's more than one Telephony Gateway, the phone numbers must've been entered fully (national or international).
An assignment of the line to the user in the XPhone server is only possible however, if every Telephony Gateway has been assigned a unique dialling parameter.
You don't need to pay attention to specific phone number formats, all common formats are possible, e.g. +49(0)89-8407980, +49(089)8407980, 089/8407980 etc.
If lines are going to be used in multiple countries, the country code in the source's phone number field is mandatory. Note that the country code needs to start with a beginng 00 or + sign.
